Omega Refrigerated air dryers use a refrigeration cooling system to dry compressed air which protects downstream components from damage caused by moisture in the air supply by lowering the temperature of the compressed air which causes excess moisture to condensate.
Omega Dryers are available in sizes from 10 to 5000 CFM.
Refrigerated dryers require a particulate filter with a separator to remove liquid water (condensate) from the air supply line before the dryer. Dryers incorporate an automatic condensate drain with a drain tube.
Dryers need a power source, generally 115 or 230 volt, and are suitable for general purpose applications where the air is dried to dew points of 3 to 4 Deg. C. Most Air Dryer ratings are based on 100 PSI inlet pressure and inlet air and ambient temperatures of 100 Deg.F. Correction factors can be applied for higher values.
